Application for Membership of the ILFA

We are anglers who primarily flyfish from drifting boats for wild brown trout on the lakes of Ireland.
The Association works to promote friendship between lady anglers and we encourage ladies who wish to take up an interesting outdoors hobby to join us.
Apart from competition we hold a number of social outings each year to meet and fish and talk.
Each year the Association fields and funds a team to compete at home and abroad against teams from England, Scotland and Wales.
Our Association was founded in 1990 by Ann Geary of Pontoon Bridge Hotel Foxford Co. Mayo.
The website irishladiesflyfishing.com was designed by Deirdre Moynihan and set up in 2001 by Moira Cosgrove.
Over the years we have had a number of different sponsors.
